Rev Peter Joseph Chancellor
 
Father Peter Joseph was born in Wagga Wagga, NSW. His father’s parents came to Australia from Kfarsghab, Lebanon, in 1923. His mother’s family is of Irish-English origin. He studied for the priesthood for his home diocese of Wagga under Bishop Brennan (now retired) who sent him to the seminary of Melbourne, and then to the Pontifical Urban College of Propaganda Fide, in Rome. Ordained for Wagga in 1992, Fr Peter served in parishes, and as lecturer in theology at Vianney College, the diocesan seminary. In 2003, he gained his doctorate in Theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome. In 2003, Bishop Gerard Hanna of Wagga, at the request of Bishop Ad Abikaram, released him to work in the Maronite Chancery.

Rev Marcelino Youssef General Secretary and Bursar
 
Fr Marcelino Youssef was ordained in Beirut Maronite diocese and now serving the Maronite Eparchy in Australia. He has university degrees in: Administration, Philosophy, Theology and Education.His adage in life: “Life should be lived with Christ very much to the full”.He was ordained on 2000.From 2000-2003 :He served as Assistant Priest at Saint Joseph’s parish-Achrafieh, Principal of the primary School at Sagesse High School-Achrafieh. From 2003 to 2006 :Assistant Priest at Our Lady Of Donations-Achrafieh, Spiritual Director at Sagesse High School-Achrafieh, Head of the Religious Education Department at Sagesse High School-Achrafieh. His Interests & Activities are : reading; Cinema and Theatre ; Swimming and Diving; Soccer, Basketball and Volleyball .

Mrs Amal Bousamra Diocesan Financial Administrator
 
Amal Bousamra joined the Chancery as Diocesan Financial Administrator in October 2006. Amal is married to Tony and has two children, George and Bernadette. Amal was born in Lebanon where she undertook her secondary studies. She arrived in Australia in 1986 where she completed tertiary education in Accounting, Computer and Business Management. Amal brings to the Chancery many years of Accounting, Finance and General Management expertise.

Rev Nabil Wehbe IT & Multimedia Department Head
 
Father Nabil Wehbe joined the chancery as IT and Multimedia Department Head in February 2006, because of his skills in computer programming and designing. He has taught audiovisual editing at university in Lebanon. He aims to serve the Church by employing the latest technology, especially in the fields of internet and programming. He is also trained in theatre, and has written several plays based on events in Biblical and Christian history. He has also written many hymns. He is married and has five children. He was ordained in Egypt and served at the Maronite Cathedral of Cairo for eleven years and then moved to serve in Lebanon.

Rev Anthony J. Salim Director of Adult Faith Formation
 
Fr. Anthony J. Salim comes to us from the United States. Born in the city of St. Paul, Minnesota, he is a 2nd-generation Maronite, as he and both his parents were also born in the U.S.A. His father’s parents come from the North of Lebanon; and his mother was of Polish ancestry. Fr. Salim is the oldest of seven siblings. Father entered the local Latin-rite Seminary at age 14 for 6 years. Following that, he spent 6 years at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Seminary in Washington, DC, and was ordained a Maronite priest in 1974. His twin ministries include 33 years of parish ministry and 30 years in religious education, including service as Eparchial Director of Catechesis for 10 years. In addition, he has served in a national capacity in this area on the Board of Directors of the National Conference for Catechesis (NCCL), and on its Executive Board as Vice-president from 2000-2003. At the invitation of Bishop Abikaram, he is on loan to us by permission of his eparch, the Most Rev. Robert J. Shaheen.
